eBay Finds 2023
MSTieScott:
The numbers are vinyl stickers made by the Television City Graphics department.
Before the new color scheme, the boxes received at least one other full makeover. In the early days of the game, the boxes were made of a thinner, lighter plastic-like material (I'm no engineer -- I don't know what it's called). Seemingly every time a contestant won and dropped the top half of the box on the floor, it would crack and need to be repaired or replaced. Eventually, the boxes were remade from a plastic that was slightly thicker, heavier, and sturdier. Although I still wouldn't recommend dropping them on a hard floor.

The ones I have almost feel like wood, not plastic. Makes sense about the stickers, though!

Who wants to sit in some audience seats from Millionaire Play It in Orlando? Three seats, comes with at least one keypad, a lanyard and some pins. Weirdest thing I've seen from this show in a quite a while. idk if anyone would pay two grand for it...

Well, if there’s a market for old stadium seats, maybe there’s a market for this too.
Honestly, if it was the Hot Seat, I could definitely see someone ponying up the 2k. This? Maybe not so much.

I don't know if we ever established a standing thread for ridiculous eBay items, but that's what this is. Since it's from Fort Wayne, Indiana, I accept the provenance that it was actually owned by Philo himself, but in the end, it's just a still photo of a frame of a video that is readily available for free in its entirety.
