TPiR MDS Bonus Spin
« on: March 06, 2004, 10:29:41 PM »
On the TPiR Million Dollar Spectacular celebrating Bob's 80th birthday, after the showcases the winner received an additional bonus spin. The wheel was sitting right by the turntable as they walked down after the showcases.

Why do you think this "2nd Chance" to win the million was eliminated on the following TPiR MDS?

Does anyone know in all actuality exactly why it was nixed?

Does anyone think that the extra spin should be reinstituted?

I rather liked the idea myself. It did sort of disrupt the normal flow of the game, that's the only flaw I found with it. I just can't figure out why they didn't keep the idea. Lord knows the reason couldn't have been that they were too short on time.

It wasn't eliminated.  It's just that the bonus spin after the Showcase happens only if nobody gets a bonus spin in either Showcase Showdown.  Since someone earned a bonus spin the normal way on the armed forces special, there was no bonus spin for winning the Showcase.

Oh, I see. Thanks for the clarification. That was never brought to my attention.
