Wheel of Fortune Question

Did Wheel of Fortune goodly eliminated the shopping for prizes after Season 4 was overwith or did they continue to use that format all the way up to the 10/2/87 episode? I get your answer later on.

Did they wait until the end of the 1987-88 season, or did they eliminate shopping after Oct. 2, 1987? Apparently Iris thought eliminating shopping was for the better.

And to answer Iris's question, I think they did it in Oct. 87, and the daytime version got rid of it in 1989, IIRC when they went to CBS (summer 89).
