And methinks they're getting the wrong response to that promo, since they've already pulled it from the network and replaced it with a new, less disturbing promo...

That's... better?

when the folks in creative services/promotions has 1000% committed to their promotional strategy even when the new campaign mostly just makes people ask "WTF" and/or unintentionally offends people.

If I had a nickel

BrandonFG:
I think Buzzr’s promotional department took the “close calls…narrow escapes” spiel out of context.

With a library of close wins from a variety of shows they air (Body Language, Super Password/Password +, Sweep, NYSI, Classic/Narz Concentration, etc.), I'm surprised they just didn't put together a supercut of some of those and have some someone exasperate a "Whew!" at the end.

MikeK:
I took JJ's idea and put it together with similar ideas I had.  I did in half an hour (for free, mind you) what BUZZR couldn't do for more than free.  Ta da.  I don't usually do stuff like this but BUZZR's promos for Whew! have been bizarre and just downright bad, like nobody there had looked at its newest acquisition.
