For now.

Over on the GSN board I posted a long comment about the network's February prime time ratings. According to Variety.com the numbers grew 18% over last February. Based on the numbers for last February from the old CableWorld site, this seems to indicate that GSN bumped up close to 300K households in prime time this February.
A very good (perhaps record) showing by GSN standards, and a clear explanation of why the network is only making cautious changes on March 15. The nightmare for GSN execs right now has to be that the new shows might scuttle the household numbers while not significantly improving the demos.
If those year-to-year gains start turning into year-to-year losses, a lot of shows might wind up sleeping with the fishes and the video games block.

That's right, for now. While it could change into the type of channel they're fearing, it's not at the current moment.
If all your life revolves around is GSN (and if it does, I feel truly sorry for you), rest assured, you will still see your favorite shows on the new GSN on March 15.
