Some years ago a local bank ran a radio ad where someone was brought in to coach new out-of-state employees on how to say our peculiar-sounding town and river names; with the conceit that if you\'re from here you should be able to say Puyallup, Skagit and Snoqualmie, and if they didn\'t the employee would be branded as fake.
