Have I Seen These Before?
TheInquisitiveOne:
Hello everyone!
I remember seeing some game show episodes in the 80s, and I can vaguely remember seeing these moments. Tell me if these are true or not.
(1) When the syndie version of Wheel of Fortune changed to an all-cash format, I can remember seeing a green and pink neon $25,000 sign. Did such a sign exist? Does anyone know where I can find a screengrab, if it does exist? When did it first appear?
(2) This one may be a little harder to confirm. I somewhat remember in the nighttime syndie version of Combs' Family Feud, there was a family of five men. Everytime the first double question came up, someone always answered with "Sex." Ironically, the answer always appeared on the survey. Did this happen, and if so, when?
Thanks for the help!

Now hang on a minute - what do you mean everytime the first double question came up?
I thought Combs' feud didn't have returning champs, and therefore said family would have only one first double question.
(I know that doesn't answer either of your questions, but if other people are as confused at your second question as I was, then at least I helped ;-))

Chelsea Thrasher:
1)Syndie Wheel had a Neon Green $25000 sign for the last couple of shopping signs, and on into the 87-88 cash season. At the start of 88-89, The dumped it for the Light Bulbed $25000 sign (Pat referenced the change more than once during the season)
2)As for Combs Syndie FF, I don't know the answer to your question, but, I do wanna clarify something: Combs Syndie FF *did* have returning champions, through it's entire run (1988-1994).

However, the light-bulbed $25K sign would be retired after the 1995-1996 season.

And in 1995-96, the sign became............. a card.
