Greg Berry hosted Catch Phrase?

Unless Telepictures does distribution in Great Britain, can anyone explain this?

Jimmy Owen:
It was Rick Barry (of basketball fame) who was originally announced as host of "Catch Phrase." Art James replaced him before the show debuted.

And the "Telepictures Strip Insurance Policy" was that if the show bombed, Telepictures would replace it with a new series at mid-season.  The policy was inspired by the failure of their "So You Think You Got Troubles!?" back in 1982 and was first offered with "Love Connection" in 1983.  They had to use the policy with "Catch Phrase"--"Perfect Match" replaced it at mid-season, but since most stations that had already downgraded "Catch Phrase" to lousy time slots ran "Perfect Match" in the same slots, the show was cancelled after its half-season and Telepictures never offered the "insurance policy" again.

Question: by the time Perfect Match debuted, I believe the merger with Lorimar-Telepictures had already occured, so was $1 Million Chance of a Lifetime included with this "insurance policy?" In other words, was Chance and Perfect Match supposed to actually be a Telepictures production? Also did Love Connection get a mid-season premiere in some markets?

Don't know about other areas, but WCAU Channel 10 aired LC from its September 1983 premiere through Fall 1985, then KYW picked it up for 1985-86, then it went back to WCAU in 1988-89(not sure if it aired in Philly from 1986-88), then WPHL CHannel 17 aired it from 1989-94.
