Don Morrow
MitchJoseph2004:
Just wonderin.......... can you guys tell what shows and and when Don Morrow announced? I've seen that he was WoF's announcer, but can't seem to find when.
I was just wondering cause i noticed he is billed as the voice in the prologue in the new production of "Little Shop of Horrors".
Any info would be nice.
THANX

GSWitch:
After Jay Stewart left Sale of The Century, Don Morrow took over from 1988-89.
And he also did The Challengers (1990-Dick Clark).
davemackey:
Us old timers remember Don Morrow when he was a host of something called "Let's Play Post Office".
He's also been an imaging voice for USA Network for the past several years - a post previously held by Alan Kalter.
Don Howard:
We're talking about my favorite announcer here (sorry, Randy).
He announced one week of Wheel Of Fortune during the summer
of 1980 between Charlie O.'s departure and Jack Clark's arrival.
He also replaced Mark Driscoll (in the middle of a week) in the booth
during the short-lived late 80s Now You See It revival.
For a long time, Don was the voice of the Shell Answer Man.

No prob, Don. Morrow is a great guy and a classic voice with great warmth. We split the warm-up and announcer duties on "Challengers" circa 1990.
Everytime I see him these days I bring up my childhood fave show "Camouflage" that he hosted, and he shares a story of the early days. Last one (I posted this before) was the confusion over the 2 Dons on the original TPIR. Pardo was the show announcer and Morrow was the sponsor's commercial announcer. Don is one of the great old pros and has kept up to date with the changing times in technology (ISDN, etc.) and in style.
