Another one I thought of: Chuck Chandler on LMaD'80. When he "It's time for Let's Make a Deal!", it sounded like he was saying it through clenched teeth, making it sound like he really didn't want to do the intro.

Also, both he and Jack Narz on BtC'79 put no enthusiasm whatsoever into "Hall" when introducing Monty.

You're watching a game show, and you hear "Monty." Does "Hall" really matter at that point?

I find it bothersome that Mr. Johnny Gilbert describes a Jeopardy! contestant's winnings as "Twelve thousand, eight hundred, one dollar."
This signature is currently under construction.

Why? It's correct. The "and" isn't supposed to be there.

I think Joe is taking issue with the fact that he says "dollar" at the end if it's a figure ending in 1 instead of "dollars". That one always puzzled me too.

We're surely scraping the bottom of the barrel, now.

Does he say that, though?  I was pretty sure Johnny usually got that right.

Yes. I always found it unique but it's not a tic for me.
"I just wanna give a shoutout to my homies in their late-30s who are watching this on Paramount+ right now, cause they couldn't stay up late enough to watch it live!"

No, once it was pointed out to me what Joe's knock actually was, a light bulb turned on. So I'm pretty sure he does.

I've always noticed that Johnny Gilbert says "dollas" instead of "dollars". Has for years.

Well, when you're a baller like Johnny Gilbert, you gotta keep it real.
