Since Survivor now tapes over the summertime back-to-back, I don't think it would impact things all too much. The upcoming season of Survivor that premieres in February wrapped in September. You could push it up a few weeks and he could record both seasons of the show during Live's break...all assuming he gets the Live gig and he decides to continue with Survivor.

As far as I can tell, Redemption Island is the last season he's obligated to. He'd be in a really nice position to negotiate if both sides wanted him.
Leaping wildly ahead, I wonder who they could get to do Survivor. Former player, like Boston Rob or Colby?

This subject came up in the past, and several suggested Colby as a possible replacement. And I still think it could work.

God, not Rob, though. Please not Rob. Bad enough I'm gonna have to watch his dumb ass play the game again this year.

Yeah, wouldn't you think they'd reach a little further? I wonder if Colby is too wooden, though, not that I didn't think Probst was early on.

I think Colby would loosen up in a hurry. And really, if the idea is to pit two supervillains against each other, Rob and Russell are the first two names you come up with, unless you come up with Hatch, who is a legal liability.

My mother would like to point out that you don't have to watch. (And suggests that you read a good book instead, of course.)

Your mother is, as mothers are wont to be, correct, of course. My point is that I like Survivor enough that I will watch in spite of him, not because of him.

(Also because I am keen to see what Russell does now that he actually DOES have the benefit of hindsight.)

Wynn Las Vegas' sportsbook has posted odds ("for entertainment purposes only") of who will replace Reege.

NPH is in the lead at 10 to 1.

Before you look at the list, guess who is on the bottom of the list at 500 to 1?

That's a highly entertaining list, especially with the names on there.  I definitely think that T.J. Holmes (175-1) and Cooper (35-1) are low (I'd assume CNN would try and lock him up with a nice deal).  Mr. Kelly Ripa seems really high at 12-1.

/Carey at 125-1 is intriguing (Drew sucks, Bob rules, etc. etc. etc.)
//Brady at 30-1?  I like that A LOT.
When you're at the grocery game and you hear the beep, think of all the fun you could have at "Crazy Rachel's Checkout Counter!"

"Live with The Situation and Kelly"  might be very entertaining.

I can't believe he pulls better odds than someone with the actual job experience. :)

Oooh, a real celebrity sweepstakes!  I'd like to bet $2 on Chris Harrison.
