"You're going to have a chance to play...JOKER! For up to FIFTY THOUSAND DOLLARS!" [/quote]
"Now remember, due to time constraints for required commercial time, and prize budget constraints, the mountain climber now only has TEN steps he can take before going over the cliff."

Actually, Zach was right on the odd gameplay going on during Ten Chances.

Now since it's been a while since I've seen it happen before, what IS the official ruling when a contestant writes down a duplicate price on Ten Chances?

Interestingly enough, I had told my wife for the past 6 or 7 months prior to going to the show that if we got to see the show, I knew they would pick her!  She doubted up until the day of taping, but after we got interviewed by Mr. Rossi, I had a strong feeling about it.   Not only did she get chosen from our interview, but Robert, the guy who won Time Is Money, was also in our 15 person interview group.

Here was another bit of irony -- When we entered Studio 33 on the day of taping, the song that began to play just as we were coming in was Quincy Jones' "Soul Bossa Nova/Austin Powers/Definition Theme", which was the exact same song we used when we were formally introduced for the first time at our wedding reception the Saturday before.  (The rest of the wedding party was introduced with the "Wheel of Fortune" Alan Thicke "Big Wheels" Theme!)

All in all, it was a wonderful experience, and I guess now it's safe to unpack our bar & vacuum cleaner as show has finally aired.

Does Price really need more change?

Maybe it will be a change for Poker Game (we could only hope).  Darn, I won't be home to see it (stupid school!)

I'm almost positive it's "If Bob doesn't notice, tough luck for the contestant."

SEE ALSO:
"You have all overbid. The lowest bid is $1000. Erase the bids, please; Chump, go lower than $1000."
"$1100!!!"

It's not a permanent change as far as I know and it's not for Poker Game.

It's one of those changing rules in mid-play deals.

It will be better explained after it airs.

Tim: Thanks for also referring to the Definition Theme... brings back memories :)

Slightly OT: "Definition theme" was sampled in 1991 (ish) by the Dream Warriors in "My Definition of a Boombastic Jazz Style".

Just FYI...

Cheers,

Ryan :)

PS - Congratulations on your "wedding gifts"
