No. It might have been better.

Frankly, I'm not surprised they scrapped it. Based on the feedback they would have gotten around here, anything that wasn't a straight clone of the Woolery show would have been met with much bitching and moaning.[/quote]
And it should be stated that according to Jeff Graham's book, Grundy tried to develop a faithful translation of Scrabble at first but came to the decision that it just didn't work and went to the format we know and love.  It took GSN two different packagers and pilots to come to the same conclusion.

--- Quote ---In related items, Boden said GSN will eventually return Cram to a five-night-a-week prime time run but is resting the game at the moment. He added the network has decided not to go forward with Scrabble. Kennedy hosted a pilot for the word game for Mindless Entertainment.

KENNEDY?  Even though she was okay in WinTuition, I still think that was a bad decision.  WHY NOT WOOLERY?

TonicBH:
Blech. Why don't they just take Cram OFF THE DAMN AIR? I've gotten sick of it! I don't watch it anymore! (Which should be logic to anyone who hates a certain show.)

But it's just that, Cram's been oversaturized. a commercial for it comes every five damn seconds, eventually triggering the viewer to either go "hmm, this 'Cram' might be nice" or "GSN's really desperate if they're advertising 'Cram' so much."

And on the Scrabble show: Sorry it failed, but don't put Kennedy in the hosting spot for anything. I dunno, she seemed better as an MTV VJ than a game show host. MHO, anyways.

I'm sure he's busy enough with Lingo.  Believe it or not, he has a life.  And from what I've heard, Scrabble Challenge is quite different from the old Scrabble, so he has no bigger right to host it than anyone else.

Besides, they're already showing Love Connection, Greed, and Lingo reruns.  We have enough Chuck on the schedule.

Kennedy was OK on Wintuition, but I thought she did well on the CA Recall special "Who Wants to Be Governor of California?"

I like Cram.  And it does well in the ratings.  So there.

Oversaturized isn't a word, and people are watching.  That's all that matters to GSN.

.
YMMV.  She seems just fine as FoF's host, even though I really don't like that show.
