Actually, someone on the GSN forums (one of the more intelligent posters, I may add) says it is highly probable that GSN could be interested in more classics as well after the ratings success of WWTBAM?. He keeps mentioning how it's a matter of when, not if, a show like The Price is Right were to join the network.
Of course, that's just speculation on his part, so I'm treating it just as that.
We live in a world where a show that went off the air less than 2 years ago is called a classic...
Scary.
I'm not even 30 and I feel old now.
Card Shark:
In other news from SB, "Price Specials Set to Air in December, '04". Someone needs to double check what gets printed.

I interpreted the headline to read "Price Specials Set to air in December and '04" (two specials in December and one in January.)
Esoteric Eric, who hasn't contacted SB about another slip yet, but... his WWTBAM wrapup includes a misread question (the one re: Arnold Schwarzenegger and Jesse Ventura; SB's site says "The Last Action Hero" (an AS vehicle) was a movie that featured neither star, when it was the only one not to feature both of them. I have to admit that I didn't know JV was in "Batman & Robin.")

In the case of "Who Wants to be a Millionaire", I think it should be called a classic. It was certainly appointment television for me, and I can't think of too many other shows that captured the following that "Millionaire" did during its ABC days.
Even now, it's still a pretty good show!

Ya know something.. I can't believe that everyone gets so STUCK on this whole "Chuck Woolery is the only host for Scrabble, and anything not like the 80's version is gunna be crap"
Having been PERSONALLY INVOLVED with the Mindless Entertainment version, and having seen the first pilot done with John O'Hurley, the whole focus of both of these pilots was to bring the REAL game of Scrabble to TV.
Although I'm contracted not to go into detail about the shows, what I CAN say is that both versions were more based on building your own words from a rack of tiles, rather than the original version of "pick a tile and fill in a letter".
The 'second pilot' was ordered because the first show was kinda boring to watch, and Mark Cronin had come up with a similar, yet more interactive version which would have fit with their online gaming of today.
The reason GSN decided NOT to pick up the show was because they are backing out of game shows for the most part to explore this "GAME" angle. CRAM is nothing but "Icey eye candy" IMO. There is really NOTHING that you can play along with during the show, since you never see any of the materials online, nor have access to their books. [And 50:1 odds that is why they added Stacy to LINGO:S3, since the mostly 18-35 male demographic tuned into CRAM to see Icey in the low cut shirts..]
As for Kennedy, she was FANTASTIC. I went into the show with the expectations of her to fail, but she pulled that show off with FLYING COLOURS! It was very much the forum for her sense of humour.
Chuck can't even remember how the hell LINGO is played, even after half of the third season was over!! Maybe the 5 letters was too much of a stretch from the 2 he was used to back in the 80s.. :D
