Catch-21 question
« on: August 30, 2009, 09:01:55 PM »
I saw an ad for the Labor Day Weekend Catch-21 marathon, and there was a graphic that said "$50,000".

Was this for some special episode(s) they did?  I just saw one of what I assume are the newer episodes (where you can win up to four power chips), and the top prize was still $25,000 (well, $26,000).

Yes...I can't remember what it was called, but they did double the grand prize for one week or so.

Doubled for six shows (one week & an extra show), and the money was once WON during those shows.

Something should go between the words 'once' and 'during' in the above sentence.  Here are the options:
A. won
B. seen
C. set on fire
D. converted into gold bullion
E. used to snort coke
F. in Mikki Padilla's g-string

The second series did in fact allow four chips: one for winning, and one for each round won, meaning players could have two, three or four chips going into the money round.

Wasn't it a tie-in with BK's new QuadWhopper, the one wrapped in paper printed with the names and phone numbers of local cardiologists?

Which seemed redundant to me....if you've won Round 3, that means you've won the game. But hey, the players need all the power chips they can get.
Fact To Make You Feel Old: Just about every contestant who appears in a Price is Right Teen Week episode from here on out has only known a world where Drew Carey has been the host.
