Thanks!  I guess I was just impatient.  Tried it again and it worked this time.

Adam Nedeff:
Is there anyplace where these games can be downloaded for offline play?

As of now, I'm on 9.2.2.

Haven't had the time or patience yet to go X.

Nor I--I'm at 9.2.2, too, and both games play nicely for me.  Must be some other conflict or missing-software issue.  Sorry.

While they're both fun enough (as slots go), I can't help thinking that the (free) online version is looser than the machines would be in a real casino, or that the paid versions would be online.

The rules on both of the online games say they pay back 96%.  If the games in casinos are 25-cent games or smaller, they probably are tighter; I've never seen 97% on anything less than a dollar machine, although I haven't been in Nevada in a number of years.  (I think the non-free online version is also 96%, but I never play online slots for cash - there's just no way of verifying how fair the games are.)
