Why do they call it 'talent' when it is essentially the skill set of a precocious seven year old:  The ability to read aloud?

Heh, Price didn't have much talent on Good Day Live, either.

Wasn't that Steve Edwards?  Besides, they had Jillian Booberie to do the weather (oh, that's right, "Good Day Live" was a national show, they didn't have weather, oh well...)

For a brief time, Price was the 'east coast correspondent'... it was part of a contract renegotiation in 93. He took 3 weeks off from Good Day NY to renegotiate a deal that got him more national coverage (Good Day Live)... then left months later to jump to CBS2 in NY & the Early Show.

From a local TV perspective, the man has had a meteoric rise to the top. Luck like his only happens to mediocre talent.

For ten points, what's the source of the original quote that was based on?

The Twelfth Night. Substitute "mediocrity" for "greatness" and insert a hearty thrust of the waist upon the word "thrust".

Stage direction as well.  I am mightily impressed.
