There was a hip-hop/R&B song called Dilemma by Nelly and Kelly Rowland from a couple years back that had a tune in the background that sounded like a slowed down version of the theme from Davidson's Squares.
I can't remember my source, but I've read that both of those songs are inspired by the same song. Patti LaBelle's "Love, Need and Want You."
[/quote]
"Dilemma" features an element of the LaBelle song, the portion where Kelly says "I love you/baby I need you/Nelly, I love you..." That's more or less the chorus of "Love, Need and Want You", minus the reference to Nelly. :-)

ObGameShow: Patti LaBelle appeared on some game show within the last 5-10 years...I wanna say HSq.

Now celebrating his 21st season on GSF!

And tonight Ellen's on a game show--as a "DOND" suitcase model.

Something which has been difficult not to know you've been watching NBC for even a half-hour this week.

(Are those "Law and Order All-New Tonight 10/9C" messages above the logo bug on "Days," too?)

Yes, as well as for other network programming. NBC's got the lock on obnoxious advertisements--they pop-upped the hell out of AG and other stuff throughout the Christmas/New Years season.

It was a gosh darn (you know what I mean) countdown clock during the last hour of Deal leading into the first AG.
When you're at the grocery game and you hear the beep, think of all the fun you could have at "Crazy Rachel's Checkout Counter!"

Yeah, the rules say the following:

Quote
A pattern of excessive and gratuitous use of foul language shall constitute grounds for disciplinary action.
That translates roughly to "you should find the happy medium between a Daye/Bartram-style string of obscenities and golly-gee whiz-gosh-darn it-to-heck." ;-)

NBC isn't worth swearing at anymore.  If I did, I would have lost my voice a couple of months ago.

MESSAGE TO WRITER'S GUILD:

In the ongoing negotiations, include a mandatory clause in the next contract to "forbid any non-generic network logos during any of their programs" (EAS/local bulletins excluded)

It does obstruct and/or detract from the fruits of their labor, you know!!!  :-)

Hmmm....fair and equitable compensation for their work, vs. making a few taping fiends happy. I'm pretty sure I know which side of that issue I fall on.

I think those constant bugs, which are getting bigger and more obnoxious all the time, are an annoying problem for a lot more folks than the occasional tape hound.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.
Stay tuned for all the obsessive-compulsive fun of Words Have Meanings.

I'm not entirely disagreeing, but I sure as heck wouldn't risk a labor agreement on them, either.
