You can only ride the check from a one-hit wonder but for so far.

Two hits, dammit!

Two? Does "Fantastic Voyage" somehow not count?. I know it was slightly before he went mainstream and hit the game show circuit, but still...

I simply MUST let you hear some of my projects.

I've been using a lot of Kalehoff stuff lately (Tattletales, Concentration '73 to be exact), so that TV Production Music Museum has been a godsend to me in the past couple of days.

There was a hip-hop/R&B song called Dilemma by Nelly and Kelly Rowland from a couple years back that had a tune in the background that sounded like a slowed down version of the theme from Davidson's Squares.

Can't say I can recall a "hip-hop" song that's sampled a game show theme. I know of at least one techno song (Come on Down by Crystal Waters).

I don't think he's ever come out and said it, but I'd think Coolio's one too. [/quote]
I think if we're using appearances as a barometer, then Jason Alexander must qualify.  And he certainly doesn't need the work or the money!

And a good one nonetheless. A little cheesy, but still good.

I've always thought that Bob Cobert's assorted game show works would make good samples. Imagine someone sampling the Pyramid theme or Chain Reaction or even something obscure, but catchy, like the Your Number's Up win music...

Ellen Degenrous(SP?) always says on her show that she loves Games and Game Shows. She often plays games on her show.

Well, then add Rosie O'Donnell to the list.  I still have a bunch of swag a producer of her old talk show sent me when I helped them with some game show stuff.

I can't remember my source, but I've read that both of those songs are inspired by the same song. Patti LaBelle's "Love, Need and Want You."
