October 13th GSN Schedule
« on: September 15, 2003, 10:45:05 PM »
From TVgameshows.net

Game Show Network's new weekday lineup takes effect Oct. 13 with a significant number of time period changes and prime time insertions.

The Monday-through-Friday lineup:
9:00 Let's Make a Deal
9:30 Family Feud
10:00 Wheel of Fortune
10:30 Jeopardy!
11:00 $100,000 Pyramid
11:30 Hollywood Squares (Whoopi)
12:00 Newlywed Game
12:30 Love Connection
1:00 Win, Lose or Draw
1:30 Friend or Foe?
2:00 Whammy!
2:30 WinTuition
3:00 Lingo
3:30 Russian Roulette
4:00 Weakest Link
5:00 Family Feud (Dawson)
5:30 Family Feud (Combs)
6:00 $100,000 Pyramid
6:30 Match Game
7:00 Win, Lose or Draw
7:30 Love Connection
8:00 Millionaire
9:00 Lingo
9:30 Match Game PM
10:00 Family Feud (Dawson)
10:30 Cram
11:00 Russian Roulette
11:30 Friend or Foe?     (The 9 to 12 midnight lineup is repeated three hours later for the West Coast)    3:00 Millionaire

4 a.m. To Tell the Truth    4:30 What's My Line?     5:00 I've Got a Secret     5:30 Password

Gone (at least from what I saw) from the M-F Schedule:
Press Your Luck
Card Sharks

Demoted from Prime Time:
Funny Money
Whammy!
Newlywed Game

I think its a change for the better.  I do hope that WLoD and $100k Pyramid are new episodes especially since they're one twice a day.  And I'm surprised WinTuition has a daily spot in the afternoon still.  And the addition of a fourth show for BWO is great!!

Looks like you beat me to it!  Anyone know how I can delete my post or does a mod have to do it?

I sure like that Family Feud is back in primetime. I must say I'm suprised that GSN is putting WOF & J! back on the weekday run. I have no idea why GSN is putting on $100,000 Pyramid and Win, Lose, or Draw in another block unless they are starting to show \"new\" episodes of the shows. Weakest Link needs to leave the weekday schedule and Wintuition needs to leave the schedule totally. I must say I'm surprised that B&WO is now expanded to four shows; hopefully, GSN won't ruin the shows by splitting the screens and speeding the up!

Where is PYL and Blockbusters? I'm a little bummed about them leaving the schedule, but since we have yet to see the weekend schedule, I'm hoping at least PYL will be there.

First FF premier, now this!  hahaha

I think they'll take care of it.  I can't believe 3 of us posted within seconds of each other.  I'll learn to type faster so I beat you by a whole minute next time.

I do like FF coming back to prime time!  I wonder if it'll be Dawson or Combs (I think i know the answer already, but it never hurts to hope).

WinTuition needs to depart.  Sorry, it just does.  Its been on way to long with the same episodes.

I'm gonna miss Blockbusters!  Hopefully it'll make the weekend schedule.  I do think the weekend schedule is going to be different as why would GSN only release the weekday schedule if they were all the same?  But maybe its just prime time that is changing.  Only time will tell....

PYL gone......Marshall HS gone.......Blockbusters gone.....Card Sharks gone......

7-1 odds Rayburn MG gets pulled next. 10-1 that MG98 replaces it for the \"edginess.\"

All of those are still on the weekends with the possible exception of Marshall Squares.

Since I'm pretty sure that MG is their heaviest hitter, ratings-wise, among their classics, and since it's been my experience that every non-GS fan I talk to about GSN pretty much watches GSN specifically FOR Match Game, I am afraid I shall have to register the polite opinion that I think your statement above is just silly.

I'm a bit disappointed to see \"PYL\" relegated to weekends.  Since the vertivision blocks end in early October, it would seem to indicate that GSN only picked up 100 additional episodes of the show.  That would give them 300 in total.  I wonder if we can ever expect to see any more...

Although I'm happy to see \"Millionaire\" come to GSN (I DO think it's a classic), it seems that there's nothing much new on the schedule - i.e. nothing from the vault at all.  They're just taking the exact same shows they have now and moving some of them to different slots.  It's good to see a bit of a shakeup, but it would have been nice to see them air something they haven't in a while.  Let's just hope they pick up additional seasons of those shows, rather than airing the same season again.

It's also interesting to note that shows now are rotating between weekends and weekdays.  \"Let's Make a Deal\" was a weekend show for quite a while, now it's going back to weekdays.  Same with \"Wheel\" and \"Jeopardy\".  Hopefully \"Press Your Luck\" will eventually be moved back to weekdays as well.  But it still would be nice to see *something* from the vault on each schedule change - even one or two shows would be a nice treat!
