I guess it was only a matter of time...
Hmmm....I dunno about Millionaire coming to GSN....it's way too recent, and any fans of the show [there are many] will be able to recognize the winners right off the bat.
Two words: Twenty-One.
Matt Ottinger:
Say GSN does get the show and I'm watching it. I see a guy named Dan Blonsky get into the hot seat and I immediately know that he's gonna win. My next thought likely would be "I wonder if Double Dare is on," followed by the sound of me changing the channel.
An equally strong possibility is the reaction, \"Oh, good, I know this guy wins and I want to see it again.\" Just as with so many of the classic shows, serious fans are going to look forward to particular episodes or contestants that they remember.
In the meantime, my problem is with Steve's characterization of \"rampant\" online speculation. What does that mean exactly? We've not talked about it here except theoretically. Is this being discussed with any seriousness on the GSN boards? Or is it just in the form of what-ifs and wishful thinkings by the kids over there?

--- Quote ---I think, if anything, it'll just bring up good memories for viewers, and how they remember certain contestants. Kinda like if GSN gets around to showing that college HSq tournament from 2002, and if I see that one guy from Northwestern...damn if I remember his name, but it's on the tip of my tongue. :-P

Maybe he saw a series of posts on ATGS about Philbin crapping himself and decided that was \"rampant speculation\".

Well, that makes no sense, was George Gray on HSq?
