Bible Baffle you could win tv tables with a praying hands design on them . The big prize was a trip to Christian theme in the Wisconson Dells.

I've got a good one. How about a TPIR snowmobile?

Along with the gazebo and the storage building that shows up as an IUFB, I'd want to pass on the carousel horse that shows up from time to time...

I actually think that's one of the awesomest (if there is such a word) prizes offered on the show! Oh, well.

I agree with whoever said those awful electric car... things. I've always thought they look like large, technicolor, plastic frogs. Those are the absolute worst.

[quote name=\'beatlefreak84\' date=\'Jan 24 2006, 08:59 AM\']The other one (one they seem to like to give away in Most Expensive on TPIR) is that retro gas pump replica of some sort.  What in the world would you do with that?  Unless it actually does pump gas, I see no need for it...:)

The replica gas pump would be most logical to fall under the "game room/furniture" category.  What would I do with a replica gas pump?  If I didn't have room in the house, my second choice would be to put it outside by the garage and route my garden hose through it.  Imagine passers-by doing double-takes when they *think* they see somebody watering their lawn with 93 octane.

Anyhoo, back to topic.  For TPIR prizes -- Musical instruments: Banjos, Drum sets (exception: guitars), the tennis ball serving machines, the outdoor greenhouses and, back in the days when 8-track tapes there hip, the "pop-up" stereo consoles (similar to the defective "pop-up" bar that is always seen on the TPIR Blooper reels).

A Portrait or Artwork. just useless.
As for the Gas Pump, unless it had a drink of any kind in it. Then I'll take.

Agreed. Most of the musical instruments they give away -- guitars included -- are pieces of crap. If someone can play the instrument they're giving away, odds are they already have a better one at home.

Even better, put up a sign saying you're selling gas for 79 cents a gallon. :)

Hey, what about that silly lucite piano that was on Wheel in '89?

As far as worst prizes go, I'll start cheap & work my way up:

A $583 floor screen-Good grief!  What would I want that for outside of a decorative touch?

A $599 cat climbing tree-I don't have a cat so that takes care of that.

A $1,560 gallery clock-Eeek!  I've got enough clocks, watches & other things that tell time for me.  I don't need that.  No way!

Finally, any GEM car on a game show.  Unless I play golf(wich I don't), I'll pass on thatr.

Except, sir, you live in Washington. What good do season tickets to four LA-based teams do you in Washington?

Enjoy lots and lots of backstage TPIR photos and other fun stuff here. And yes, I did park in Syd Vinnedge's parking spot at CBS

IIRC, those appeared as "Race Game" prizes with the Rams as the fourth team (of course that's when they were in LA.  Did you really expect the show to fly them to St. Louis?)

God, I will now quit acting like Horan.

ISTR Danger Price and Take Two having those season tickets as well. Anyone remember if Poker Game, the other four prize game at the time(late 70s-early 80s) had such prizes? Season tickets to the Dodgers have appeared as a prize in the Showcase as recently as a couple years ago(trips to Dodger Fantasy Baseball Camp in Florida seems to have replaced the season tickets)

But if you're gonna try that excuse, you can EBay virtually any prize, and I can certainly think of easier prizes to sell than tickets to see the Lakers host the freakin' Charlotte Bobcats.
