As was said earlier in this thread, that was the case for part or all of the 60s primetime run.

I knew I hadn't completed lost it when I thought Password did that.

I also believe that GSN's old interactive game shows like Super Decades showed the hosts name as well.

Wasn't "TOM KENNEDY" shown as one of the opening blue text graphics (I don't know what to call them!) on his nighttime TPiR'85?

I'll have to re-rent the DVDs to be sure, but I'm almost positive that Groucho Marx's name was shown in the opening of "You Bet Your Life," at least at some point during the run...

As I recall, the opening had a cartoon drawing of a duck with a cigar in its bill standing next to an easel with a vaudeville-style show card with the titles on it.

I think they had a couple of different openings; his name might have been in one of them.  Of course, some of us may know the show better from The Best of Groucho reruns.

I would think Joe Garagiola's Memory Game would qualify here.  What about Name Droppers?

In the end credits, Martindale's HR always showed the logo with "starring Wink Martindale" below it.

I think Win Martindale (that's right, Win) had his name supered on "What's This Song?"

Probably to keep viewers from wondering "Who the GONG SHOW OOPS! is that dude?" Don't forget, the Winkster was just getting his foot in the game show door back in 1964.

On "GE College Bowl", Allen Ludden and Robert Earle had their names on the top part of the podium.

I am surprised that no one has yet to mention "Blank Check" w/ Art James.  At least in the pilot ep, they switch between Art's name & BC on the big number screens.

When I first saw the heading of the thread, I was thinking you were talking about the host's name at the top of the closing credits, like "'Scrabble' Starring Chuck Woolery"..., etc....

Wasn't Ron Ely's name shown on the screen at the beginning of "Face The Music" as well?

Yes, the title of Namedroppers was displayed "Lohman and Barkley's Name Droppers."
Art James's name still flashed upon introduction during the series on Blank Check as well.

AFAIK, it was just "Sandy Frank Productions".

80s $otC and 80s Scrabble also had the host names during the end credits. Heck, most shows mention the host names during the end credits, even if it was to plug the maker of the host's wardrobe.
