Host's name on screen.......

I just got done watching some of the new clips that Jamie put up, one of which being the intro to "Crosswits". Was David Sparks the only host that had his name on screen when he was intro'd?

Really, really obscure, but the clips of busted GSN pilots John Ricci put up featured "Pictionary" where Graham Elwood's name was on screen. Jack Whittaker from "Face is Familiar" also had his name on the screen.

Am I dreaming, or did Password also do it with Allen?
[Edit] Oh could I forget this one: it was done upon introduction of Brent Gunts, the host of Shadow Stumpers.

Yeah yeah, I know. What the hell was Shadow Stumpers? I'll post a clip of that show...eventually.

Despite objections, there's a locally-produced show in Michigan that does it.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.

I forget which point in the run, but some of the black-and-white nighttime shows have Allen's name supered when he comes out (in the same type face as the word art cards).

Add to that list "Street Smarts". Frank Nicotero's name is shown on screen.

More and more shows seem to be doing this in lieu of having an announcer.

Match Game-Hollywood Squares Hour had Gene Rayburn's and Jon Bauman's names on screen where they displayed the "logo" of the show as well as the other star players' names.

I think Win Martindale (that's right, Win) had his name supered on "What's This Song?"
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

Anybody wanna count the nameplates for Wally Bruner and Larry Blyden on syndie WML?

OK, so they're not superimposed or chyroned, but they're there.

One instance of a game show host whose name was superimposed upon entrance was Dick Clark, but it wasn't on a game show (it happened on BANDSTAND).

Absolute coolest, by far:  Regis on Millionaire.  He's not identified AT ALL, not even "Hi, I'm Regis Philbin!"  You just know.

Second coolest:  Garry Moore on TTTT.  The opening introduction is for HIM, ahead of the show itself.

That was only for one episode during the solo player format, no? Geoff had the judge calling him Gee-Off during that episode IIRC.
