I didn't feel comfortable watching him. I'm not sure how people could feel comfortable with him as their guide on the set, but hey.

It was his gentle touch when he gave back-rubs to the champions... The man was a master!

That and when he blew in their ears. Yes, I was joking up above.
Didn't CBS realize that one of their own sports guys could have done the job infinitely better? That would be Pat O'Brien, of course. Aw, no! Where's my handkerchief?

You should get the fiancee to whisper his name in your ear at night.

Lord, I apologize.

Well... I will take back what I said about the Professor... and will say that I am very happy to see that this reported schedule change came to fruition.

My DVR is going to be working it's virtual rear end off recording most of the afternoon.  And having never seen Rafferty's version of CS... I'm really looking forward to seeing it.

One casualty that I'm a little disappointed in seeing go is Match Game '90... though I'm sure it'll make an appearance again in the future.

TTTT '90 will wear thin and fast, though.  Let's hope that one goes away pretty damn quick.

Not so fast on the TTTT '90 slam...I've only had GSN on a regular basis for barely more than a year now and I'd LOVE to see this one whether or not it goes away after one complete cycle.  During the NBC run, it got locally wiped out over WOWT in Omaha sometime after 1991 began so I missed most of the Trebek shows including the one where Mark Goodson took over as host while Alex had to go tend to his pregnant wife (I think that was how the story went).  So please let me enjoy this one again while I can.  BTW, I wonder if they'll begin with the Richard Kline pilot?

When they last aired TTTT90, they started with the Trebek shows and then jumped to the Elliott shows before replacing it. They didn't air the Kline pilot then. Have they ever aired it before?

Don't get me wrong, I was just implying there weren't a great number of TTTT '90 episodes available.

If they started with the Trebek shows and jumped to the Gordon shows, they're obviously jumping around a bit.

The original order was Elliott, Swann, Trebek, right?

They didn't jump around at all. No doubt they started with Alex's debut appearance because he's the most familiar hosting face from that incarnation. After his three months of shows (all of which ran and in order), the network then began with Gordon's stint.
The original order was indeed as you typed above.
By the way, for those watching NBC at 11am ET on Labor Day 1990, when Charlie O'Donnell introduced Richard Kline as the host, how many of you went, "What?!?". This reaction would be repeated in my household the following Monday when Pat Finn reminded all of America that The Joker's Wild is a game of definitions.

Being almost 16 and naive, I thought Richard Kline *was* the host, and that the TV Guide was wrong. :)

Well, and considering how many game shows Richard Kline had done as a celebrity (plus his nearly famous stint as a contestant on the Pyramid), it seemed plausible.

A hell of a lot more plausible than that no-name Gordon Elliott guy, anyhow. Who the hell was THAT clown? :)

If you remember the debut listing in TVG, it asked the question: "Will the real host please stand up?" So I wasn't sure the Richard Kline episode was a mistake until the next day when the set was completely different.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.
