  • Just leave the set; that’d be terrific.

Dream scenario: You are provided a VCR, TV set...and a lounger in the GSN vault. The secruity guard informs you that he needs to take a "break" for 2 hours, and is entrusting you with the vault. As soon as he walks out...you dash down the many aisles of tapes.

What do you pick?

I would pick a random episode of TTD (from the Wink Martindale era), a random episode of Bullseye, and an episode of TPiR with the home viewer showcase back in probably 1980.

This is assuming TPiR is still in the vault, it's just that GSN can't show them..

If I had 2 hours in that vault, here's what I would check out(in no particular order for the 1st hour):

Tne 1st BTB'76 episode
The Yolanda incident fron TPIR
The 2-part Larsen PYL episode

An Eye Guess, a Three On A Match, and two Narz Now You See Its. :)

(I have a fascination with NYSI, because it COMPLETELY escaped my four-year-old radar in 1975. Even flippin' Spinoff didn't do that.)

Some rarities for sure:

--last episode of '76 "Break the Bank", and the actual pilot (if they have it)
--first ep. of Jeff MacGregor's "Dating Game"
--an ep. of "Fun Factory" (besides the two that have aired)
--an ep. of '70s "Treasure Hunt" with a $25,000 win

Two hours should be enough time to rent a U-haul and get a wheelbarrow.  They'll never miss "Trivia Trap," "Bullseye," or "Go!" anyway...Randy, would you be persuaded to come out to Culver City to call the sweep?

Oh!  You meant two hours to watch?  That's a far less interesting question.

Without commercials, I should be able to take in 3 color CBS TTTTs from the 67-68 season in one hour and one NYSI with the alt. theme, a $20KP with the 1980 carpeting, and one segment of a Robin Ward TTTT with Bill Cullen on the panel in the second hour
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

I'll go for some dark era shows I still haven't seen to this day:
Barris Camouflage
Diamond Head
and two shows that are single episode faint memories:
Dealer's Choice
Hollywood Connection -
and if I could time compress, I'd add Perfect Match (Enberg)

The ONLY reason I can think of to watch this is because you've never had the chance to see it and you're curious. Because I've seen it. Ho-lee.

Since it'll be commercial-free, I presume choosing five shows will keep me in the allotted time. The five shows are:
* The 2000th episode of Jeopardy! starring Art Fleming
* The final episode of the 1964-75 run of Jeopardy!
* Any episode of the ABC run of the 1976 version of Break The Bank
* A Bill Rafferty-hosted episode of Blockbusters
* An episode of The New Treasure Hunt

Any four Tattletales episodes in which the Winkster appeared with his wife. So everyone can see why I'm so jealous of her!

Or.....four Joker's Wild episodes hosted by a certain former Marquette University dean!

Cordially,
Tammy Warner--the 'Becky Price of the Big Board!'

Exactly, Mr. L - in fact, a couple of those I would expect to be somewhat made ill over (especially if the Choice episode had Bob Hastings). Having the Hasbro/NBC Mating Game in my collection that I understand was based on the show, I'm curious as to how close it was...along with watching a relic.
