[quote name=\'Seth Thrasher\' date=\'Dec 9 2004, 09:11 AM\']The QUESTION is:  Are infomercials game shows?!?! :)

Monty's two infomercials done for the ill-produced LMAD 900 number game in the early 90s had game show elements. Wink Martindale did an infomercial in 1990 for the $25K Telephone Trivia CHallenge. Peter Marshall did an infomercial in 1990 for a telephone game of a similar ilk. Then of course, there's Alex "Molson" Trebek and the Phone Jeopardy! infomercial(or was that just a one-minute infomercial)

Why does this sound to me like GSN is preparing for "All WinTV!  All the time!"???  (I know, WinTV originally wasn't interactive...maybe this is "WinTV:  the Next Generation"?)

Johnny - you have a college or university by you? Most of them tend to carry B&C in their libraries...

Don't laugh yet......Someone asked about it on the GSN forums, and "Thericker"'s reply was: "We are looking at paid programming and making that interactive as well or offer other interactive services during those times. "

Hey, I'm just posting what I read in the magazine. 168 divided by 7 is 24 hours a day of interactive programming. *shrug* I don't know what it means...all I know is that I'll still be sleeping at 5 in the morning, Rotisserie or not.

LOL...This is good stuff here

Maybe they'll offer a free pair of BBQ gloves or a GSN kitchen apron as a prize for the person who can enter the closest prediction as to how many times in a half hour the phrase "Set it and forget it" is used. :-D
