I've noticed of late that GSN doesn't air the contestant plugs anymore during Jeopardy, or if they do air them, they are not doing it as often.

I don't recall GSN ever airing the contestant plugs during J!, as J! has always done contestant plugs in the bumper during the last commercial break(second commercial break in the 1984-85 season)

What I meant was the plugs saying what the 2nd and 3rd place players get.

If Ken wins just one more game, it will make 13 complete weeks that he's won. It's possible GSN could pick up just the Jennings episodes, packages it as the Ken Show, and run it into the ground like they have with Greed and Weakest Link. Nah, couldn't be, or could it.

Those aren't contestant plugs, those are prize plugs.

False, the mid show second and third place finisher plugs comes in after the DJ! round is over and before the FJ! category is introduced by Alex and then the commercial break and yes, they still show the 2nd and 3rd place finisher plugs.

Have you been watching the same episodes I have of late? Because, on some of the teen tourney episodes I have seen recently, the prize plugs have been cut out.

As far as I know, GSN airs the same Jeopardy! reruns to the entire country.

I'm pretty sure the Teen Tournament episodes had the prize plugs, such as they are, during the bumper between DJ! and FJ!, which is why they're not airing on GSN.  In the pre-all-cash era, the tournaments never had the traditional "today's second-place contestant will receive..." prize plugs the way the regular episodes did.

And I'm pretty sure you're right, because I always remember the prize bumper always ended with a shot of the car offered as a grand prize (originally a Dodge Shadow convertible, then a Geo/Chevy Tracker conv., and now I think it's a Volvo?).

Now celebrating his 21st season on GSF!

I don't know about that. On Cox Cable in Cleveland, they were showing the 1972-73 season last month while Time Warner in Athens County was televising episodes from the 1978-79 revival. That Super Jeopardy round was an........interesting idea.

ADDED THE NEXT DAY: I won't embarass the person by revealing his identity, but I got an e-mail last night from a member of our brethren asking if they really were.
