There is no doubt that Thicke is more talented at song writing than perhaps acting or even hosting a TV Talk show. ;-) Just listen to the original theme from Wheel Of Fortune and Tom Kennedy's "Whew". Alan has an awsome talent for composing. I wish he would have done even more of it. Why stop what you are good at? Even the themes from Different Strokes and Facts Of Life were very catchy. The guy is good!

You need to sit down and have a talk with Tom Bergeron.
Merv had most of his Mort Lindsey Orchestra guys play on these. I think Plas Johnson (who also played sax on the original "Pink Panther" theme) did most of the sax solos, and Nick Ceroli may have been the drummer (he passed not long after this stuff was recorded). He also used them on his talk show as commercial bumper music.
Nick Ceroli was also the drummer of Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass (whose music was featured on The Dating Game).

LOL... Point taken. Last time I talked to Tom was 1987. Perhaps he needs to update me on a few things. ;-)
