Best and Worst #2

Here's another 'Best and Worst' for you:

Not counting 'off-network or off-syndie' repeats, what was the best game show to ever air on ABC Family? (Mind you, this includes the channel's previous incarnations as Fox Family, the Family Channel, and yes, even as far back as CBN!)

As far as I'm concerned:
BEST: Paranoia, Second Honeymoon, and Shopping Spree.

WORST: Outrageous!

Cordially,
Tammy Warner--the 'Barbara Feldon of the Big Board!'

Did you not read the post? She specifically said excluding repeats.

My favorite: Shopping Spree
Least favorite: Wait 'Til You Have Kids (1st series)

Best: Paranoia, maybe Trivial Pursuit. Didn't have cable for quite a while and missed many of the others.

Worst? - Let's choose "weak". Turning Shuffle, Boggle and Jumble into all-interactives with just a few slap-on items to change the face of the same podiums was cheesy. Boggle and Jumble could have been solid standard game show formats by themselves if they hadn't altered the basic formats too much to milk the home-viewer cash-cow with the call-in stuff. If just Pursuit and maybe one other, like Shuffle, were interactives and the other two classic formats, perhaps they might have stayed on longer?

Also missed the no-rerun item and originally posted Chain Reaction. I was grateful to then-CBN for letting me see the original show for the first time. Still one of my favorites.

BEST: Trivial Pursuit, Shopping Spree (tie)

HONORABLE MENTIONS: Boggle and Jumble. If both hadn't been so adamant about the interactive elements, they would've been cool, with some tweaking. I'd love to see Boggle brought back, but maybe make it a 2 contestant game.

It Takes Two was also a pretty good show, but the rules just seemed so complicated. It took me forever to understand the "come within 20% of the actual number" bonus round.

WORST: Small Talk (I really think this is the first game show to superimpose the logo as a bug in the corner of the screen...ugh)

HONORABLE MENTION: Shuffle...nothing more than a 30-minute Fastest Finger round. Snooze.

To be fair, while my general opinion of Pat Robertson is prolly the same as Don's, he did green-light the GS reruns that populated CBN/FAM's afternoon lineup in the mid-80s and 90s, as well as the original games that aired on FAM from 95-97.
