Family Feud Question

We know that the Larkey family was the first family on the show who exceeded the $25,000 limit and the Tack family was the sixth family to exceed the $25,000 limit. Now here are the questions:

1)How many families in the 9 year history of the daytime Feud exceeded the $25,000 limit ?

2)What were the families after the Larkey family and before the Tack family who went over the $25,000 mark?

The all-time money winners in ABC Daytime Feud history won $33,167, and they were IIRC the last undefeated family on that version. Richard said they were the 19th family to retire undefeated.

Sorry if this question has been addressed before, but how did they win $33,000 if they were supposed to retire after breaking $25,000?

 By the time that particular family had been on, the limit was raised to $30,000.

 Suppose it could happen if the daytime jackpot ever went for ten grand, but I don't know that it ever did.

The only way for a family to accumulate $33K+ during the ABC era would be if they racked up a whole slew of lollipops. Otherwise, my abacus says a total wouldn't even make it to $31000. I'm pretty sure it was a $5000 fast money try always.

 Right, but wasn't a lollipop only worth $100?  I'm not sure $33,167 is accurate.

I remember a family retiring with this amount from the original 1985 broadcast, as well as when it aired on the 5PM Feud slot last year. Chuck DOnegan has said episode in his trading list, and it was the Rezzo family. My guess is families could stay till they hit $30K. ABC waived the $25K limit for All-Star Blitz, which premiered while Feud was still on the air.

Yeaj, it seems as though the limit was raised to $30K, w/a $35K cap, the last year of the daytime show. Up to that point, the biggest winners had been the McManus family, who retired w/$30,204 just a yr earlier in 1984.
