TPIR Bonus Spin Question
« on: July 04, 2003, 08:36:05 PM »
Any reason the bonus spin starts on a nickel?
Enjoy lots and lots of backstage TPIR photos and other fun stuff here. And yes, I did park in Syd Vinnedge's parking spot at CBS

Because of the fact that \"you have to get the wheel all the way around, or it doesn't count, and you don't get to spin again\". If Bob started on the dollar, and the contestant gets the nickel (right below the dollar), but almost gets the wheel all the way around, the $5,000 is voided.

By starting on the nickel, and getting the nickel with exactly one revolution, the contestant gets the $5,000.

More to the point, you avoid a LOT of painful television moments where Bob gets to explain to a grandma jumping up and down wearing a Bob Roolz T-shirt why she doesn't get the five large and to go sit her ass down. :)
