Buzzr is airing some episodes of Tattletales with Bob and Ginnie Newhart at the moment. None of theirs have ever rerun on GSN or Buzzr before. There's no one Black on these shows though so I honestly have no idea why they're airing in the Black History Month marathon.
Hah! ;D My first impression: they meant to code in the episode numbers of the prior week with Dionne Warwick, perhaps? Or even the week after, it had Scoey, though not as likely since he was featured last week. It's anybody's guess.

This was always weird because GSN used stills/clips from these eps in some of their Tattletales promos (late 90s going from memory)

I didn't know BUZZR has access to that show!  ;D

There are several examples of that.  As we established a couple weeks ago, the I've Got A Secret GSN promo where the celebrity guest kissed Bill Cullen's wife is from a cigarette-sponsored episode that GSN never ran.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.

Is it established fact that the Newharts blocked their Tattletales appearances from being rerun or is that speculation again?

They aired a LMAD episode on Saturday featuring Nipsey Russell playing for an at-home contestant. It was nice to see Jay Stewart and Carol Merrill, even for only one episode.

A nice barrel-aged stout would certainly make it easier to watch.

The Buzzr schedule also shows Match Game 90 x2 (008 & 009) at 5PM ET Saturday only (but the regular MGHSH at 6P) so not sure if it's related or Buzzr's trying something new

Good golly, but they're getting a lot of mileage out of that Pearl Bailey episode.

Good golly, but they're getting a lot of mileage out of that Pearl Bailey episode.

A lot of people seem to; I've seen that one offered on so many public domain DVD sets. The only IGAS episode that gets used more often is the 1956 Lucille Ball one, and that can't rerun due to the cigarette sponsorship.

It's a fun episode for sure, but using it for two marathons in a row? Finding another prominent episode shouldn't have been too hard.  :P
