No word yet on whether Rafa and Adi will return to host, although their old pics are in the various publicity shots.

The new host has been named ... and it's Marco Antonio Regil!

--- Quote ---... During the first decade of the 2000s, the iconic presenter directed game shows in which both celebrities and families could win thousands of pesos. Some of the shows in which he participated were:

- 100 Mexicanos Dijeron
- Atínale al precio
- Minuto para ganar

Live interview conducted with Marco earlier today in which the announcement was revealed. Most interesting thing seems to be they're going to be recording "a huge number of episodes" over "three months."

The auto-generated subs, even run through auto-translate, aren't that bad.

I'm not surprised. The way I perceive production to work is they tape all of the runs and then pick and choose what fits to build an episode. Over three months of 8-hour weekdays, they can probably film an equivalent to a season of The Price is Right (assuming it takes one hour to film one team), and probably more if their tape days are longer.

I don't recall much from 100 Mexicanos, but I don't doubt that Marco is a good hand. Even then, I'll miss Rafi and Adi.

Yeah, it's fun to pair up Rafa's outfits with which "auto 0 kilometers chulo bonito de agencia!" is on offer. It seems possible, in theory at least, to put together a list of which episodes were in which taping batch. :) (Some of his outfits in S01 were quite out there -- the giant scarf, the leather jacket!)

And another interesting thing. I was watching one of the last-season eps on Azteca, and they actually showed a very brief shot of what appeared to be a studio audience applauding! It was only a few people, but I assumed all the audience noises were done in post, especially the very recognizable "awwwww" when a team crashes out.

Makes me wonder how often they have to stop recording to set up desafios, deal with health/safety issues due to dropped items or props in the cage, etc. ... and even the occasional blood-drawing injury.
