Why not? It's certainly been a topic of discussion for years, and looking at it from the perspective of the woman who spurned Alcala is a unique take on the story. It also helps that Kendrick herself will direct; she recently said she was in an abusive relationship herself (https://www.latimes.com/entertainment-arts/story/2022-09-09/anna-kendrick-says-she-almost-turned-down-alice-darling-role-because-of-past-abuse).

5/10. Almost got me before I realized this was about Rodney Alcala. Given how many movies have been made about Jeffrey Dahmer and Ted Bundy, I'm sure people will watch this one as well.

Not a fan of Woman in Jeopardy movies. I'd rather see a Woman on Jeopardy! movie.
