Showoffs and Mindreaders, huh? Would be pleasantly surprised if Showoffs was from the series and not the pilot.
As for Mindreaders...well that's....certainly something  ;D

I had to look up Take Your Choice; it looks to be a 1954 G-T pilot starring Fred Allen, with his wife Portland Hoffa and Tex Antoine(!) announcing. Looks somewhat similar to You Bet Your Life. Might be worth watching just to see Allen sulking through having to host a game show.

As Blanquepage noted, it would be nice to see something different for either Showoffs or Mindreaders other than the episodes currently in circulation.

Great stuff!

If Showoffs and Mindreaders are going into the Lost and Found block, I think it likely confirms what we've thought all along, that not much from either show exists.  Odd that GSN never showed either - considering all the rare shows from the Goodson-Todman library that they did show.

Also amped for "Showoffs" and "Mindreaders". "Make the Connection" should be fun too; I do recall enjoying the couple of eps. GSN ran long ago (as similar to its fellow G-T panel shows as it may be).

Kind of wondering why they have #Whew! in there, given that it'll be going full time in just under a week.

My guess is they're going to air one of the pilots.

Well if we see on the schedule "Whew! 78_PLT3"...

And in regards to Mindreaders and Showoffs... if they could dig up a previously-unknown episode of The Better Sex, not sure why they couldn't surprise us again with these two.

Idle speculation on Whew!:  Episode 3 is being skipped in the preview this Sunday.  Maybe it's being saved for Lost and Found for some reason like the first Gauntlet victory?

That or one of the bloopers mentions midgets.

I'm leaning toward either tape damage or the midgets, one of the two.

One of Buzzr's other clips shows that episode 2 had the first Gauntlet win. However, they HAVE withheld other big win episodes for use in marathons, so it might still be because it had a particularly exciting Gauntlet. Guess we'll find out soon!

Pretty sure the lineup is one episode apiece, with the first three listed in the hashtags getting 40-minute slots.

Buzzr included a brief clip of Take Your Choice in promos for the very first Lost and Found (screengrab here).

As for Mindreaders and Showoffs, UCLA has Pilot #3 of the former and the 12/25/75 episode of the latter (its listing suggests it's a master copy), so those could be in contention.

Based on what happened in episodes 2 and 4, there were two Gauntlets run in episode 3, neither of which was won.

Is it possible that Episode 3 just doesn't exist, or if it does, the tape is not entirely playable?

Some clues from a promo:
"Make the Connection" is the 9/1/1955 edition with J. Fred Muggs
"Mindreaders" has Sarah Purcell as a guest, this is likely the pilot with Charles Nelson Reilly
"It Had To Be You" is a different pilot than was exhibited on the W/O/C website earlier this year

EDIT: Another promo had a snippet of Chuck from "Mindreaders". Pilot ahoy.

And one more thing...the spot ends with a shot of Bert Lahr from a Lays Potato Chip commercial, possibly part of "It Had To Be You".

They've already posted a couple of clips, one from "It Had to Be You" and one from "Take Your Choice."
