TPIR Opening/Walking Cue Question(s)
« on: May 11, 2021, 10:23:02 PM »
Just a couple of quick questions here:

1. Was the "Walking" cue specifically commissioned for use as "Come on Down" music, or were other tracks also under consideration? I could understand wanting to replace the original opening music from 1972 as it was too short and intended for the "Stand Up" opening instead of the "CoD" opening, but was there an intention to replace the in show CoD music?

2. I assume the 2007- onward version of the opening cue was a complete recording, instead of a new version of the complete "Walking" cue recorded then edited in the same manner. Was the version used during 1976-79 a separate recording from the full cue as well, or just an edit from the alternate mix that most of us have never heard? From the bassline I assume it was just an edit. Just a thought.

Thanks

I can confirm the 2007-present cue is a new recording of just the relevant portions used for "Come on Downs", not the entire "Walking '76" cue.
