For what it's worth, the last several months Buzzr has fairly steadily added 20 episodes per month to what they have archived to stream on Amazon.  Last month was shows 44-63 of Jim Perry's Card Sharks; the two months prior to that were a total of 40 shows of Combs' Feud from November '88 through early January '89)

I admit, I hadn't noticed any steadiness to that. Double Dare & Blockbusters for example have been stuck at 20 episodes since forever, and Combs' Feud had those same 40 episodes since last fall until relatively recently. Maybe it's a renewed Amazon engagement effort? C'mon more Double Dare!  ;D

Even Child's Play, Body Language and Family Feud 2007 are all stuck at 20 episodes forever too. I hope Amazon Prime adds more episodes for those 3. For Family Feud 2007, I'm really hoping that Amazon Prime adds the entire NBA Players vs. NBA Mothers week of episodes on there.

September's new content is an addition to Supermarket Sweep, 20 more shows from 1991 (1144 to 1164, excluding 1155).  The Amazon run previously jumped 22 shows, from 1143 to 1166, as per the numbering on Amazon.

They just released "Gunsmoke - The Complete Series", which had 635 episodes, 402 of them were an hour long...it's a monster set...

143 discs, per Amazon. Ho Lee Shite.
Out of stock now. One buyer noted it was $335 to start; they were patient, and got it for $229. Not surprisingly, the packaging was cheap 'n' crappy. (I was warned about that when I got the full M*A*S*H box set; slide the discs gently out of the cardboard sleeves to minimize scratching, place them in individual soft sleeves or jewel boxes, and never put them back in the original packaging again.)

I guess they wouldn't issue these things until/unless they had enough preorders. And there's always a small group of big fans for something. I bought Rupert Holmes' box set (yes, you read right) when it was originally issued in 2005 (I was hesitant because it was about $80, but my wife told me, "You are going to kick yourself for the rest of your life if you don't buy this, and I don't want to have to listen to you do that."). It's been out of stock since about 2006, and when it does pop up used on Amazon or eBay, it goes for four or five times that price.

To my amazement, Amazon now has it priced at $193 and change for a 143 DVD set containing 635 episodes...

EDIT: To break that down, it comes down to:

$1.35 per DVD or...
$9.68 per season or...
$  .31 per episode...

It's hard to believe that the price for a set of that magnitude has become THAT affordable, all things considered...

And yes, I pulled the trigger...20 seasons of "Gunsmoke" arrives at my door on Monday...

And when does the spare bookcase to store it in show up?

When's the next supply wagon pull up to the general store?

It's in a reasonably small outer box...just over 12" long, I guess...it's divided into 5 4-season cases, typically split into 2 volumes per season...it's all kinda clumsy but workable...

I ran out of DVD shelf space some time ago...there's lots of stacking going on now...I hope to rectify that situation once I determine whether I will remain in my current La Casa or if I relocate to La Casa, La Segunda Parte...

I dunno...they got bushwacked about 20 miles out of Dodge so I sent Chester out to check up on 'em...so, probably in six months or so...
