A friend of mine who was at a taping tells me Jeffrey Tambor announces the prizes that are won.
That might not sit well with some.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

Yeah, I know. I would have picked Shadoe Stevens or Burton Richardson as the announcer, but Jeffrey does have some experience - one season on Bergeron's Squares.

Correction - two seasons.

The announcer on Press Your Luck was Neil Ross.

That's what I thought.  I don't think he's completely persona non grata in Hollywood after sexual misconduct allegations arose, but he's still a difficult hire in some people's eyes.  (Based on Jason's post, he may not be working on the show after all.)

It was just the first “H2” season, 2002-03. John Moschitta, Jr. replaced Jeffrey when he went on to do “Arrested Development”. But even with the controversy surrounding Jeffrey, that would’ve been a random selection, given his career thrived a lot more in the decade-plus after announcing for “Hollywood Squares”. Not to mention he hasn’t announced a game show since.
"I just wanna give a shoutout to my homies in their late-30s who are watching this on Paramount+ right now, cause they couldn't stay up late enough to watch it live!"

Now celebrating his 21st season on GSF!

So it was just one season that Jeffrey announced "Squares." I've emailed my friend in L.A. to make sure I got correct info from him.

Yeah, Neil Ross would make sense.  And hey, he has a GS past too, as he was GSN's announcer in the late '90s.
I'm a pacifist, and even I would like to see a little more action.

So here's what my friend told me:

He was at the taping of the first show. He did not see, but heard Jeffrey's Tambor's voice announcing and reading prizes. He also says a crew member confirmed it was Tambor. So that's his story.

I guess all this will unravel itself when the show premieres. I'll be checking the credits at the end.

Maybe Tambor did announce it in the studio, but for whatever reason was overdubbed by Ross in post? I know the same thing happened on Greed in 1999, with Mark Thompson replacing Burton Richardson in that same manner, so it seems plausible to me.

There is a picture of Neil Ross at a microphone with a 2019 PYL lanyard on that also is marked Studio 46 on Randy West's FB profile. Don't think it's Tambor unless he voiced the Whammy.....

I was at the taping of the first show. There was always audience applause when the announcer was speaking, so it would have been very difficult to discern exactly who it was.

Between the first and the second taping, I saw Randy West and Neil Ross. That was the same day the aforementioned photo was taken. So I'm willing to wager that Jeffrey Tambor has nothing to do with this show.

This might answer your question. Say "Hi" to the new whammies while you're there.

Good remake of the theme.  And a tasteful remake of the original animations.  ABC's got such a stable of retro shows now, I seriously hope that they are considering some daytime versions if the ratings are there.
