I knew “Dealer’s Choice” was ahead of its time! That actually is kind of a neat mechanic for a game, though not necessarily this one. Didn’t “Play Your Cards Right” have a goal score at Money Cards to then play for a star prize?

Yup. 4,000 points at the conclusion of line two opened the gate to play for the car (and also guaranteed the cash won to that point). Before they went to cash at the end, it was essentially points win prizes, just like at your friendly local Chuck E. Cheese.
