Game show hosts on "The Joan Rivers Show" on Decades
« on: December 27, 2018, 01:24:08 PM »
If you still get the Decades channel, they're going to start running Joan Rivers' early 90s talk show on January 7th at 6 p.m. Eastern. The January 9th episode features special guests Art Fleming, Gene Rayburn and Peter Marshall.

Does anybody still have Decades? I know it lost most if not all of its major market clearances when Start TV launched. At least here there hasn't been a pickup.

ETA: apparently there were stations that picked up Decades in the big markets, and New York is in the process.

I have it. The New Orleans market does on their station owned by Tegna (the renamed Gannett TV group).

We've also still got it in Houston; was surprised to see them air two Beat the Clock episodes a couple weeks ago.

Here's the list, although a lot of entries say "check back for future channel updates" - presumably, these channels were part of the switch to Start TV

Looks like you're right; the CBS O&Os switched over and it appears that in the markets where Decades isn't currently being carried, the original subchannel was on an O&O.

Another game show related episode on January 29th. It's described as a "Hollywood Squares" reunion with John Davidson, Shadoe Stevens and Rick Rosner.

And here's the segment from last week. (I waited a bit to publish it to see if an auto-pulldown would happen, but it didn't.)

Thanks for posting this, it was great to watch. Some pretty good stories, lots of complaining from Peter and Gene in particular. Art had quite a voice.
