Renaming "Spin The Wheel" to "As The Wall Turns."

About the Rob Lowe "Mental Samurai" show:

Quote
In each episode, contestants battle to answer questions accurately with speed and precision. Not only does the course test their acumen in categories of knowledge, memory, numbers and sequencing...
Nice, sounds like Britain's Brainiest or another intellectual format I enjoy!

...but players will also have to contend with being transported around the set at high speeds in a specially designed capsule that is capable of rotating 360 degrees.

Sounds like Teh Chamber with a whole lot less electrocution and frostbite.

Curious if "Mental Samurai" will be hosted by Rob Lowe or "Peaked in High School" Rob Lowe.

As for "Spin the Wheel", I presume the interview for host went as follows …

Q: So Dax, are you still married to Kristen Bell?
D: Yes.
Q: Can she cameo on an episode?
D: Well, I'd have to ask …
Q: Good enough, you're hired!

Worse, it's "Peaked with High Schoolers" Rob Lowe.

Points. Both of you.

Spin The Wheel apparently tapes Monday:

The page makes clear that they are expecting each taping to take 4-6 hours.

Ok, so riddle me this: If you have a tape session on the 9th that runs from 2-6pm, how are you also having a tape session on the 9th that starts at 4:45pm?
This signature is currently under construction.

I would assume that they are queuing up the next audience while they are winding down the previous taping. When they post 4:45, that is not the ass-in-seat time.

I guarantee you, the only reason this is airing is because of the fact that "The Masked Singer" started off ok in terms of ratings. (In other words they're hoping this pulls the same ratings or better.)

Big reason why Fox is trying a bunch of game shows isn’t that one seems to be doing well but that they’re no longer a production studio, having sold most of the company to Disney. They won’t be able to work the distribution angles on scripted stuff and have said they’ll rely more on sports and news. Presumably cheap reality shows, too. If one takes off like Deal or No Deal, all the better.
