« on: May 18, 2018, 09:45:47 AM »
Need the Classic Concentration timer from this site: https://t.co/tgqnnAVdVm but it only goes up to 90 seconds...need a 2 and 3 minute timer as well...can anyone help? Also, when I try to record the timings I can get with sound recorder,  don't hear the beeping at all. Need Would like to have a 15 30 45 second and one tw and three minute timers. Can anyone help? (Mods, move this if you need to.)

"Need" is such a strong word.

Maybe the production company behind "Who Dares Wins" will help you in exchange for never trying to stake a claim on their show again.

Timers arent the problem, it's the ticking sound I need. Hell if I wanted a non-ticking timer I could use my phone.

There are ways to get the sound--from an episode is probably going to be your best bet. Then loop it to however long you need.

/do you get the feeling that we're not going to do the work for you here?

From an episode wouldn't work...there's a Youtube with a 60 second Pyramid timer though, but I wouldn't know how to lengthen it because the buzzer is there. Shortening it is the easy part methinks.

/I don't want anyone to do something I couldn't...I'm just terrible at the editing part.

Isn't the entire reason you are asking someone else to do this is because you can't?

Didn't you, like, record an entire album? Have you never used an audio editor before? Literally, you need a clip of three beeps (Four would make it even easier.). Beep, pause, beep, pause, beep. Clean up the end, chop off the first beep such that the clip is two seconds long, loop as long as needed. (With four beeps (or three plus quiet ambient sound at either end), you just crop it to literally ANY two-second long portion and then loop as needed.)

I wasnt the producer. I sang and wrote the lyrics, someone else did the music. I know zilch about sound editing. Especially when all I have is the windows 10 sound recorder...if I had xp again it'd be much easier.

Edit: Plus, the sound recorder itself isn't even picking up the ticking. So I have no idea how to proceed. I love Windows 10, but the sound recorder is absolute crap.

I suppose you can still learn stuff on TLC, though it would be more in the Goofus & Gallant sense, that is (don't do what these parents did)"- Travis Eberle, 2012

THANKS!! Now all I need is software to loop it..again, if there were a way to find the XP sound recorder, it'd be easy! I'm trying with this sound recorder and it's not even picking the beeps up, at all.. Hmmm

Edit..looping is easy, but recording the looped files are the hard part being that my sound recorder isn't picking it up.

Grab Audacity. It's an open-source audio editor.

Way ahead of you there, but I have no clue what I'm doing. I have the file in there, but duplication will only play the same 5 second timer over and over though, with the beeps in the same places no? I just need to make it longer.

Here's a tutorial from YouTube on how to create a loop and paste it within the Audacity timeline.
