$25k Pyramid
« on: March 25, 2017, 02:46:56 AM »
How far did we jump ahead?

The "NEW" is gone from the logo, $50/point is no longer an option for the 7-11, the Mystery Seven is a bonus card like the 7-11, and the winner's circle lights are white instead of blue.

Teresa Ganzel and Charlie Siebert.

(21-21 tie now awards $5,000 bonus money to the winner too.)

These are ones previously leased, no? Or was that the short "revival" from the following April-July?

My cable box's info says this Monday's show is from November 4, 1987.

I don't know about the recent past, but the latter '87 eps. and the pre-Feud, post-Blackout shows were shown ~15 years ago.

These episodes from late 1987 on were definitely shown in the last lease, as I have some recordings of these.dated from 2014.

Actually, the last couple of days have been bizarre: On Wednesday, they played an episode from June 1983 (Deborah Adair & Terry Lester). Thursday, they played an episode from March '83 (Florence Henderson & Earl Holliman) and Friday was the aforementioned '87 show with Ganzel & Siebert. Why all the jumping around is anybody's guess :-/.

I'd be a bit disappointed if they permanently jump to 1987.  These 1982-83 shows are a joy to watch - they are a bit more rough around the ears than the later shows.

In all the years that 80s Pyramid has been aired, has the second and third seasons been repeated (83-84 and 84-85)?
When you're at the grocery game and you hear the beep, think of all the fun you could have at "Crazy Rachel's Checkout Counter!"

I know those are the two seasons that have yet to air on GSN, can't recall if those ever aired on USA, though.

Nope. There's a gap from September 1983 to April 1985 that GSN has never aired. There's also a gap from April-September 1987 that they've never shown. I'm pretty sure they all aired on USA though.

GSN Did something similar with random episodes back in December.  So hopefully next week they'll continue with the 1983 episodes.

Like Greg, I'm pretty sure they did air on USA.

According to TitanTV, Monday-Wednesday of this week are more from the Ganzel/Siebert week and then on Thursday they go back to the premiere. I guess we've hit the end of the episodes in GSN's current cycle. It looks like it was 200 episodes again, just like the previous three leases.
