But if the clips are any indication, does it look like they might also throw in an episode or two of the ill-fated Double Dare 2000 remake with Jason Harris and Tiffany Phillips?

Just wanted to make a reminder that this starts tonight. Nickelodeon doesn't give game show program info to guide providers as far as I know (at least not on DirecTV or Zap2It) so I have to rely on the two-days-at-a-time online schedule for episode info. Tonight starts with The Raiders vs. The Mets from 1986, and tomorrow's airing of Family Double Dare will be the first episode of the 1988 Fox version, featuring the McGoldricks vs. the O'Donnells. In all likelihood, this hasn't been broadcast on TV in over 25 years.

Monday, July 25th
10:00 PM ET - Double Dare (1986)

Tuesday, July 26th
10:00 PM ET - Family Double Dare (1988)

Wednesday, July 27th
10:00 PM ET - Double Dare 2000

Thursday, July 28th
10:00 PM ET - Double Dare

Friday, July 29th
10:00 PM ET - Family Double Dare
10:30 PM ET - Family Double Dare
11:00 PM ET - Double Dare 2000
11:30 PM ET - Double Dare 2000

Saturday, July 30th
10:00 PM ET - Double Dare
10:30 PM ET - Double Dare
11:00 PM ET - Double Dare
11:30 PM ET - Double Dare

Sunday, July 31st
10:00 PM ET - Double Dare 2000
10:30 PM ET - Double Dare 2000
11:00 PM ET - Family Double Dare (in an hour-long slot, probably the 1993 Tournament of Champions)

They sure got a lot of mileage out of those grabber arms, didn't they. It seemed like whenever they found or created some sort of prop or contraption they rode that pony until it could ride no more.

That is a nearly perverse commitment to accuracy on the back of that jersey.

#250: CSDD SCW3-5 is a celebrity episode from the syndicated run - David Faustino vs. Staci Keanan.

Watching the FDD from the first airing. They got five questions in round one, and one in round two, which went to a physical challenge that determined the winner. I may never complain about the Nick version having too few questions ever again.

If you're complaining about Double Dare having too few questions, you're doing it wrong anyway. Monday's episode with 20-25 questions but not a single physical challenge in the first half is not very fun.

I marveled at the fact that Marc said on Monday, "we're on question 18," because it pulled back a little of the curtain. I've always enjoyed the original article more because it moved at a faster pace, and Family Double Dare got through fewer questions and took more time on the physical challenges.

Did anyone notice whether the families are given more conferring time than the pairs of kids?

How fitting... ABC is repeating the Double Dare-themed episode of "The Goldbergs" as I type this.

My DirecTV guide has no more Double Dare 2000 episodes airing. Friday's have been replaced by original Double Dare and Sunday's are now Family Double Dare. Zap2It does not have these changes and TeenNick's guide isn't working for Friday, as of this writing. Any knowledge on this, Greg?

Edit: The TeenNick guide has updated for Friday. 11:07 PM is "ODD 3B," The Destroyers vs. The Hamsters. (A Philly.com article cites this as the second episode ever taped.) 11:39 PM is "ODD 4B," The Stooges vs. The Spazzballs.

Edit 2: Thanks, Greg! :)

Just checked Viacom. They have made some changes. The rest of the Double Dare 2000 episodes previously scheduled have been removed.

Friday night's have been replaced with Double Dare #002 - ODD 3B (Hamsters vs. Destroyers) and #003 - ODD 4B (Spazzballs vs. Stooges).

Sunday night's have been replaced with Family Double Dare #023 - FDD 210D (probably Goop Busters vs. Avengers) and #056 - FDD 303A (likely Mean McQueens vs. Windy City Players).

Everything else is the same.
