I don't remember where I read it (it was either here or Wiki), but I do recall seeing that Summer started in December 1984.

Apparently, this was Lee Menning's final episode. Aired on 12/28/1984.

Watching the episode made me ponder something.

Me being the details geek that I am, I noticed the Fame Game octagons have the multi-colored numbers on them. I look back at some of the early syndie eps and the numbers are red on a yellow background.

Since it seems like the episodes were shot pretty close to each other and the syndie Sale launched within three weeks of this episode, might it be plausible to assume that Grundy only intended to bring Summer in for the nighttime episodes and keep Lee for the daytime?

(fully conjecture, yes, but my curiosity has gotten the best of me)

Can anyone who has the Syndie premiere, Jack/Andra/Buck, check it to see if the Fame Game squares are multi-colored, or red on yellow?

Don't forget to set your DVRs if you want to record this...I had to reset mine...Apparently regular $otC and Syndie $otc count as separate series.

I, speaking for myself, always count them as one show. Same thing with the $25K and $100K Pyramids from the 80's, and the daytime and Syndicated WOF, just to name a few.

Right but, when I recorded $ale the first time it worked, but when I looked on my DVR to record the syndie version, it wasn't set to record, hence the warning. My DVR SHOULD see $OTC as one show but it didn't. Thankfully I caught it.

Sometime back, somebody posted this episode of $ale (and the entire episode used to be up, too). Would anyone here know the airdate for this particular show? All I know is that it's from '83.
