As opposed to his interest. In adopting a dog.

Dan Patrick expressed interest on his radio show.  To host J!

Dan Patrick can throw his hat in the ring just by mentioning it on his show.  Personally, I\'d rather have Danica Patrick host.

Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

 Ready to buzz in.

Jeopardy, like Feud, has such a strong format and fan base that it could possibly survive a potentially less-than-likeable host for a short time. Lauer has so much baggage and negative press right now (http://news.yahoo.com/matt-lauer-might-ruin-jeopardy-reign-terror-today-135950044.html;_ylt=A2KJ2UbwXkRRjn4AD2aPIsF_) that it would seem wrong to put him on.

Remember the new host won\'t take over for three years.  That\'s plenty of time for current public opinion to sway one way, back the other, and in the original direction again.

And for Alex to realize he doesn\'t want to step down after all.

Yeah, he might try to hang in for a few more years and beat Barker\'s TPIR record.

I\'m waiting for TPTB to announce Conan as Alex\'s replacement, followed by the announcement that Trebek will host the All-New Match Game/Hollywood Squares Hour as a lead-in to Jeopardy!.

Ha!

Actually, Mrs. Andy Richter did a bit of campaigning for her husband on Twitter over the weekend. Guess his \"Conan\" job isn\'t keeping him out of her hair enough.

Let\'s just keep praying Alex stays in good health over the next three years so that there is no need to make a hurried decision. Let\'s hope he doesn\'t need those Colonial Penn benefits for a long, long time!

x2 on that, and the same wishes for Johnny Gilbert. I wonder if Sony will have a succession plan for him, too.

I don\'t have time to read through all nine pages of posts - has Alex \"officially\" announced his retiring? I think Probst or Kiernan would carry on the Jeopardy tradition well. I agree with not getting a comedian or a \"pretty boy\" a la John Davidson for the job.

Edit - I see Trebek hasn\'t made a decision yet, so the producrs just want to start searching early - but THREE YEARS??
