  • Just leave the set; that’d be terrific.

Past or present, you are able to appear on any ONE[/b] game show of your choice, without needing to audition or anything.  What show do you pick (multiple people can be on the same show!), and why?

I'll chime in with my response later.

For me, I think my "dream appearance" would be on a show that I felt I had a fairly decent chance of winning, that I've always enjoyed watching, and that I know would be a ton of fun to play.

Although many games fit those three criteria, the desire to meet Jim Perry and win over $100,000 in stuff leans me toward $ale of the Century.  :)

I'd stink at every single one of them. I found that out during the three Game Show Conventions (or Congresses, whatever they were) I attended.
I wouldn't mind taking a whack at Super Password, though.

If I get a golden ticket, I want a show where I can maximize my output and minimize the competition: Deal or No Deal.

This surprises me.  I thought you would be in it more for the game than for the reward.

Me?  Jeopardy for the experience and challenge.

If I only get one, I'm maximizing my paycheck. Obviously my answer changes if I'm independently wealthy and money doesn't enter into it.

There's a method to my choice; I wasn't just being glib. I'll go into it more deeply when I get home, but Chris is largely on point about the money.

Yeah, that's why I sigh whenever I see that Mark has started Yet Another Pick ONE thread. 'Cuz you can boldface, italicize, underline, superscript, increase the font size, do whatever you want to that word, and some jackbag is going to totally defeat the point by ignoring it.

People aren't gonna pick ONE. Period. There's no point in continuing to try.

Scrabble, when they had the two game a day format with the speedword round for each winner, then the 10 second bonus round.

That was the first show I watched where I learned that every writer has their quirks, and if I could figure out who wrote a clue/question, it might help me with the answer.

The Big Showdown.  I was only 14 when it aired, so I never had the chance.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

This. Unless the board still has some heavy amounts remaining, I'm not against bailing on an early 6-figure offer.
