"Cash Cab" invades "30 Rock"
« on: October 01, 2010, 09:02:43 AM »
If you didn't catch last night's episode of "30 Rock," you missed a funny game show subplot.

Tracy Jordan (Tracy Morgan) is determined to see the birth of his third child, having missed the previous two for "important" reasons (the first because he was making pizza, the second because he forgot).  However, Tracy manages to separate himself from his handlers outside 30 Rock during a fire drill.

His wife's about to give birth, he has no money, and he's lost on the streets of Manhattan.  What's Tracy going to do?  Hail a cab, and beg to be driven to the hospital.  The driver agrees, but there's something familiar about the man behind the wheel.

Turns out the driver is Ben Bailey, and Tracy has to play "Cash Cab" to see the birth of his child.

Watch the episode here...

I liked that Tracy could answer all the questions correctly by linking them to some bizarre event in his life--sort of a Slumdog Millionaire parody as well.

For the nitpickers: yes, I know you get three strikes before you have to leave (though he could've missed two questions earlier), and no, Ben didn't ask a double-or-nothing question at the end.  Dramatic license and all that...

/Community had a cameo appearance by Drew Carey Thursday night as well.
It was Bob Barker. He was eating a bologna and cheese-ball sandwich.
