That's a fair point...but it's a term I've used since I was a kid and have never bothered dropping, and I'm probably still not going to.  You're perfectly welcome to think whatever you want about that.

Because I watched the James version more often, I always thought of the models as "Janice and Anitra" and the entrance doors as "the entrance doors."  I guess I could have called them "Dennis' Doors."

Actually, it's the thingy behind Door #2 during the host's entrance.

'Til I read this, I thought it was the wall outside with the plaque designating it as the Bob Barker Studio.

And for some reason, I thought it was the giant price tag that reveals Grand Game and other such pricing games.

So when did they change from the wall of squares and red circles to the hexagons?

That's one thing I've never been able to pin down, because I haven't seen a whole lot of Season 10.  I know that the circles were still there on November 6, 1981, and the hexagons were there by October 26, 1982.

I can knock that first date forward by nearly six months, thanks to this episode taped 3/22/82 which still has the circles behind Bob. The lineup matches the calendar's listing for 4/26/82.

Thanks to "thewhammy83" for putting up that episode. :-)

Thanks!

With that in mind, I'm gonna hazard a guess that the hexagons were introduced on whatever the first show of Season 11 taped after the summer break was.

Nope, that's simply named the Giant Price Tag.
